Scripture informs us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 3:16). In consideration of this fact, we should possess sufficient motivation to want to properly care for the precious gift of health that God has bestowed upon us. Sickness and rampant illness are tools which the forces of evil use to keep the people, work, and truth of God in a state of inefficient limbo. The healing of the sick is an integral component of the outreach commission that Christ imparted to His disciples. At times God heals miraculously through prayer, faith, or the laying on of hands. In a vast many instances, however, God expects us to understand the cause and effect dimensions of this matter. What can we do in conformity to His law and truth that sickness might be prevented or brought into a state of remission? These are questions we will explore in depth and detail.
